Cdrecord RSH allows elevated privileges
| cdrecord-rsh-gain-privileges (17303) |
Description:
Cdrecord could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system. A local attacker could specify a program using the RSH (remote shell) environment variable to cause Cdrecord to fail to drop privileges when executing the program, which would allow the attacker
to gain root privileges.
Note: Cdrecord must be installed setuid root to exploit this vulnerability.
