Description:
F-Secure Anti-Virus is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted packets to cause a process in the F-Secure Content Scanner Server to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- F-Secure, Anti-Virus for MS Exchange 6.01 and prior
- F-Secure, Anti-Virus for MS Exchange 6.21 and prior
- F-Secure, Internet Gatekeeper 6.32 and prior
Remedy:
For F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper:
Upgrade to the latest version (6.40 or later), as listed in F-Secure Security Bulletin FSC-2004-2. See References.
For F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange:
Upgrade to the latest version (6.30 or later), as listed in F-Secure Security Bulletin FSC-2004-2. See References.
