Description:

F-Secure Anti-Virus is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted packets to cause a process in the F-Secure Content Scanner Server to crash.

  • F-Secure, Anti-Virus for MS Exchange 6.21 and prior
  • F-Secure, Internet Gatekeeper 6.32 and prior

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version (6.40 or later), as listed in F-Secure Security Bulletin FSC-2004-2. See References.
