Mozilla, Firefox, Thunderbird, and Netscape bypass Same Origin Policy
| mozilla-netscape-sameorigin-bypass (17374) |
Description:
Mozilla versions prior to 1.7.3, Firefox versions prior to 1.0PR, Thunderbird versions prior to 0.8 and Netscape version 7.2 running on Microsoft Windows XP could allow a remote attacker to bypass the "Same Origin Policy" restriction and perform malicious actions on a victim's computer. A remote attacker could create a malicious Web page that uses a specially-crafted javascript: URL, which could allow the execution of JavaScript in the context of the victim's window, once the victim drags the URL to the window.
