ColdFusion syntax checker could consume all processor resources

Description:
The Syntax Checker (packaged with ColdFusion) is vulnerable to a denial of service. A vulnerability in the Syntax Checker program could allow a remote attacker to cause the system to consume all available processor resources.

Remedy:
Install the Cold Fusion 4.0.1 Update from the Allaire Web site. See References.
It is recommended that users remove the cfmlsyntaxcheck.cfm program from all production servers.
