Description:
jadc2s is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the expat XML parser code. If a remote attacker has access to a network socket that parses XML, the attacker could cause jadc2s to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- jabberd project, jadc2s 0.9.0 and prior
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest CVS version (dated 2004-09-07 or later), available from the jabberd Web site. See References.
