WordPress multiple scripts cross-site scripting

Description:
WordPress is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could send a malicious URL link to the wp-login.php, bookmarklet.php, catagories.php, edit.php or edit-comments.php script containing embedded code in various variables, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
