Spider read_file buffer overflow

Description:
Spider is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking in the read_file function in the movelog.c file. By sending a long string containing 1024 characters as an argument to the -s command line option, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges, typically setgid games.
