RealNetworks Helix Universal Server POST denial of service

Description:
RealNetworks' Helix Universal Server is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted HTTP POST request with the Content-Length header set to -1 to cause an error, which would consume all available CPU and memory resources, causing the server to crash.

Remedy:
Apply the appropriate patch for your system, as listed in the RealNetworks, Inc. Releases Update dated October 7, 2004. See References.
