MySQL UNION change denial of service

Description:
MySQL is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. By issuing multiple threads to alter the same or different MERGE tables to change the UNION, a remote attacker could cause the server to crash or hang.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of MySQL (3.23.59 or 4.0.21 or later), available from the MySQL Web site. See References.
