Description:
The patch specified in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-033 is not installed, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
Microsoft Office 2000 SP3, Office XP, Office XP SP2, Office 2001 for Macintosh, and Office X for Macintosh could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system. A remote attacker can create a specially-crafted Excel file, which would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, once the victim opens the file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious Web page and hosting it on a Web site or by sending the malicious file to the victim in an email.
