LibTIFF library tiff library image decoding routines buffer overflow

libtiff-library-decoding-bo (17703) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

LibTIFF is vulnerable to a heap-based overflow in the tiff library image decoding routines in the tif_next.c and tif_thunder.c files and possibly the tif_luv.c file. By creating a specially-crafted TIFF image file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, once the victim opens the malicious file.
