Gaim MSN file transfer denial of service

Description:
Gaim is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a buffer overflow. By transferring a large MSN (Microsoft Network) file to Gaim, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and consume all available memory to cause Gaim to crash.

Upgrade to the latest version of Gaim (1.02 or later), available from the Gaim Download Web page. See References.
