EPiServer linkurl.asp directory traversal

Description:
EPiServer could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially-crafted URL request to the linkurl.asp script containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) in the root parameter to traverse directories and view arbitrary files on the system.

- ElektroPost, EPiServer
Remedy:
No remedy available as of October 2004.
As a workaround, configure the site in release mode and set the customErrors mode to 'On' or 'RemoteOnly' in the web.config file.
