Libxml2 xmlNanoFTPScanProxy function buffer overflow
| libxml2-xmlnanoftpscanproxy-bo (17875) |
Description:
Libxml2 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow when parsing a proxy URL containing FTP information. By sending a specially-crafted URL request to the xmlNanoFTPScanProxy function of the nanoftp.c file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.
