Description:

Cherokee Web Server is vulnerable to a format string attack. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted URL when authenticating via auth_pam to the cherokee_logger_ncsa_write_string function and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Upgrade to the latest version of Cherokee Web Server (0.4.17.1 or later), available from the Cherokee Web Server Web site. See references.
