Linux kernel ELF binfmt_elf loader mmap privilege escalation
| linux-elf-setuid-gain-privileges (18025) |
Description:
The Linux kernel ELF loader (binfmt_elf.c) could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by improper handling of failed calls to the mmap function. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
