Wind Updates displays advertisements and may install other spyware

Description:
Wind Updates is advertising-oriented spyware (adware) that downloads and displays new advertisements in a popup window, if the user has given permission, while browsing the Internet. The program opens advertisements during a user's Internet Explorer browsing session by downloading them from a server. Wind Update contains a silent auto-update program, installing automatic updates without any user interaction.
Wind Updates may install 180search Assistant, Internet Optimizer, Top Rebates, and Target Saver.

If the WindUpdates software is not desired, uninstall it from your system. Use an up-to-date antivirus or spyware removal program to determine if the target computer is host to a spyware program.
