SecureCRT /F command line option allows command execution

Description:
VanDyke Software's SecureCRT could allow a remote attacker execute arbitrary commands. The /F command line option determines the directory to use as a configuration folder. By creating a specially-crafted Web page that uses the /F command line option and contains a Telnet:// URL that specifies an arbitrary configuration folder from an SMB share, a remote attacker could execute arbitrary commands on the system, once the Web page is visited.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of SecureCRT (4.1.9 or later), available from the VanDyke Software Download SecureCRT Web page. See References.
