Description:

Cisco CNS Network Registrar is a DNS and DHCP server for Microsoft Windows and Unix platforms. Cisco CNS Network Registrar versions 6.0 through 6.1.1.3 running on Microsoft Windows are vulnerable to a denial of service attack. By sending a specially-crafted packet sequence, a remote attacker could cause the CCM (Central Configuration Management) server to consume a large amount of CPU resources. The server agent must be restarted to regain normal functionality.

Upgrade to the latest version of Cisco CNS Network Registrar (6.1.1.4 or later), available from the Cisco Security Advisory dated December 02 1600 UTC (GMT). See References.
