Description:

Microsoft Windows could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by improper bounds checking in the Word for Windows 6.0 Converter, when handling table conversions. By creating a malicious file, a remote attacker could cause WordPad to fail and execute arbitrary code on the system, once the file is opened. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious file on a Web site or by sending it to a victim in an email.
