Description:
hpsockd is vulnerable to an unspecified buffer overflow, which could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest version of hpsockd (0.6.woody1 or later), as listed in the DSA-604-1. See References.
