Description:
phpMyAdmin could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
Note: In order to exploit this vulnerability, the safe mode must be disabled and external transformations must be activated.
Platforms Affected:
- Gentoo, Linux
- phpMyAdmin, phpMyAdmin 2.6.0-pl2
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of phpMyAdmin (2.6.1-rc1 or later), available from the phpMyAdmin Download Web page. See References.
For Gentoo Linux:
Upgrade to the latest version of phpmyadmin (2.6.1_rc1 or later), as listed in GLSA 200412-19. See References.
For other distributions:
Contact your vendor for upgrade or patch information.
