Description:

Ethereal is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the HTTP dissector. A remote attacker could cause the dissector to access freed memory, which would cause Ethereal to crash and possibly allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

Upgrade to the latest version of Ethereal (0.10.8 or later), available from the Ethereal Download Web page. See References.
