Vim modeline gain privileges
| vim-modeline-gain-privileges (18503) |
Description:
VIM (Vi IMproved) could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system. If modelines are enabled, a local attacker could create a malicious text file that exploits one of the following options: termcap, printdevice, titleold, filetype, syntax, backupext, keymap, patchmode or langmenu, to execute arbitrary commands on the system with the privileges of the victim, once the victim opens the malicious file using VIM.
