MPlayer RTSP heap overflow

Description:
MPlayer is vulnerable to a heap overflow, caused by a vulnerability in the /libmpdemux/realrtsp/real.c file. By creating a specially-crafted media file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges, once the file is opened.

Remedy:
Apply the rtsp_fix_20041215.diff patch for this vulnerability, as listed in iDEFENSE Security Advisory 12.16.04. See References.
