Description:
html2hdml is an HTML to a Handheld Device Markup Language (HDML) converter running on Linux, Solaris, and Cygwin based-operating systems. html2hdml version 1.0.3 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking in the remove_quote function in the convert.c file. By sending a specially-crafted HTML file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with user privileges, once the file is opened.
