Description:
csv2xml is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking in the get_field_headers function in the csv2xml.cpp file. By creating a specially-crafted CSV file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with user privileges, once the file is processed.

Upgrade to the latest version of csv2xml (0.5.2 or later), available from the csv2xml Web site. See References.
