Description:

xine is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking in the open_aiff_file function of the demux_aiff.c file. By creating a specially-crafted file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with user privileges, once the file is processed by xine.
