Description:

Kerberos is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in the libkadm5srv administration library, caused by a vulnerability in the password history handling code. Under certain conditions, a remote authenticated attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Kerberos (krb5-1.4 or krb5-1.3.6 or later), when it becomes available from the MIT Kerberos Web site. See References.
