LibTIFF TIFF file dir_count integer overflow
| libtiff-tiff-tdircount-bo (18637) |
Description:
LibTIFF is vulnerable to an integer overflow, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input when calculating a directory entry's size. By creating a TIFF file containing a specially-crafted tdir_count value, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with user privileges, once the victim opens the file.
