Description:
Netkit's telnetd-ssl is vulnerable to a format string attack. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain root access on the system.

Remedy:
For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest package of netkit-telnet-ssl (0.17.17+0.1-2woody3 or later), as listed in DSA-616-1. See References.
