Zeroboard "check_user_id.php" script cross-site scripting
| zeroboard-checkuserid-xss (18680) |
Description:
Zeroboard is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the 'check_user_id.php' script. A remote attacker could embed malicious script in the 'user_id' parameter in a URL request to the 'check_user_id.php' script, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site with user privileges, once the link is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to obtain a user's cookie-based authentication credentials.
