LibTIFF tiffdump buffer overflow

Description:
LibTIFF is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the tiffdump utility. By sending a specially-crafted TIFF image file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or possibly cause a denial of service, once the file is processed.

Upgrade to the latest version of tiff (3.7.1-r1 or later), as listed in GLSA 200501-06 . See References.

Upgrade to the latest version of tiff (3.5.5-6.woody5 or later), as listed in DSA-626-1. See References.
