Multiple vendor Web browser modal dialog spoofing
| web-browser-modal-spoofing (18864) |
Description:
Multiple vendor Web browsers including Firefox version 1.0, Mozilla version 1.7.5, and Netscape version 7.1 running on Microsoft Windows XP SP2 could allow a remote attacker to spoof the content in a modal dialog box. A remote attacker could create a specially-crafted URL link for a downloadable file that displays a pop-up window over a dialog box, hiding the content of the dialog, once a victim prepares to download the file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious Web page and hosting it on a Web site or by sending it to a victim as an HTML email.
