Description:

SWORD could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the diatheke.pl script. By creating a specially-crafted URL, a remote attacker could execute arbitrary commands on the vulnerable system.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest package of sword (1.5.3-3woody2 or later), as listed in Debian Security Advisory DSA-650-1. See References.
