Ethereal COPS dissector denial of service

Description:
Ethereal is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the COPS dissector. A remote attacker could cause the COPS to enter into an infinite loop, which would consume 100% of the available CPU resources on the system.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Ethereal (0.10.9 or later), available from the Ethereal Download Web page. See References.
