Description:

IBM AIX is vulnerable to a format string attack, caused by a vulnerability in the auditselect command. The auditselect command fails to properly use a formatted printing function. A local attacker, with system group privileges, could exploit this vulnerability by supplying a specially-crafted argument to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
