| win-png-image-overflow (19270) |
Description:
Microsoft Windows could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code, caused by a buffer overflow in the Portable Networks Graphic (PNG) image rendering library in Internet Explorer. A remote attacker could create a specially-crafted PNG image to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending the malicious image to a victim as an email attachment and tricking the victim into opening the attachment or by hosting it on a Web site and persuading the victim to visit the Web site.
