SCO startup scripts can be used to delete arbitrary files

Description:
SCO Unix is vulnerable to a symlink attack caused by a vulnerability in the startup scripts when handling temporary files. This vulnerability could allow a local attacker to cause the system to possibly delete or overwrite arbitrary files on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- SCO, SCO OpenServer
- SCO, SCO OpenServer Enterprise System 5.0.4p
Remedy:
This vulnerability has been confirmed to not exist in UnixWare 7.x and UnixWare 2.1.x but does exists in OpenServer 5.0.x and 3.0. OpenServer 5.0.x users should add commands to the 'P05RMTMPFILES' file in '/etc/rc2.d' to delete temporary files from '/tmp' and '/usr/tmp' directories. OpenServer 3.0 users should do the same to the 'S05RMTMPFILES' file.
