Gaim SNAC packet denial of service

Description:
Gaim is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a vulnerability in the parsing of SNAC packets. By sending a specially-crafted SNAC packet, a remote attacker could cause Gaim to enter into an infinite loop, resulting in a denial of service.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Gaim (1.1.3 or later), available from the Gaim Download Web page. See References.
