phpWebSite Announce module allows code execution
| phpwebsite-announce-execute-code (19482) |
Description:
phpWebSite could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a vulnerability in the Announce module. If a remote attacker has privileges to upload image files and submit announcements, the attacker can create a specially-crafted file that contains PHP code, but appears to be formatted as a GIF file. The attacker could send a URL request to upload the image file as an announcement and then send a URL request to load the announcement, causing the contents of the file to be executed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
