Description:
Computer Associates' License Server and License Client is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by a vulnerability in the NETWORK element. By sending a specially-crafted LOG1, GETCONFIG, PUTOLF, GCR, GBR, OLFCONFIRM, GETBACKUP, GETLOG, NEWOLF, or GETSERVER request with a long value in the hostname, netmask, or ip address fields, a remote attacker could execute arbitrary code on the system with LocalSystem or root privileges.
