Sentinel License Manager Lservnt service buffer overflow
| sentinel-license-manager-bo (19621) |
Description:
SafeNet' Sentinel License Manager (LM) is an application running on Microsoft Windows 2000 server that allows developers to implement pre-built license models with a single software application. Sentinel License Manager version 7.2.0.2 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of user-supplied input in the Lservnt service when processing data. By sending a large amount of data containing more than 3000 bytes to UDP port 5093, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM level privileges.
Platforms Affected:
- SafeNet, Sentinel License Manager 7.2.0.2
Remedy:
