MySQL udf_init function gain access
| mysql-udfinit-gain-access (19658) |
Description:
MySQL could allow an attacker to execute code, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the dl field. The udf_init function in the sql_udg.cc file uses the dl field of the mysql.func table to load libraries. A local attacker with INSERT or DELETE permissions on the backend database, or a remote attacker with privileges to create local files, could create a malicious library and use the INSERT INTO statement, which would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, when the udf_init function is called and the library is loaded.
