PhotoPost PHP Pro editbio field cross-site scripting

Description:
PhotoPost PHP Pro is an online photo gallery running on Microsoft Windows and Unix-based operating systems. PhotoPost PHP Pro versions 5.0 RC3 up to 5.0.1 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by a vulnerability in the editbio biography field. A remote attacker could create a malicious URL link containing embedded code in the editbio biography field which, once the link is viewed, would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of PhotoPost PHP Pro (5.0.1 or later), available from the PhotoPost PHP Pro Web site. See References.
