Description:

OpenSLP is vulnerable to multiple buffer overflows, caused by improper bounds checking of user-supplied input in SLP requests. By sending specially-crafted SLP packets, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of OpenSLP (1.2.1 or later), available from the SourceForge.net Web site. See References.
