PerlDesk pdesk.cgi script directory traversal

Description:
PerlDesk could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the Web server, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the pdesk.cgi script. A remote authenticated attacker using the lang variable could send a specially-crafted request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to traverse directories and view arbitrary files outside the Web root directory.

Upgrade to the latest version of PerlDesk (2 or later), available from the PerlDesk Customer Support Web page. See References.
