BirdBlog admincore.php script SQL injection

Description:
BirdBlog is an open-source PHP/MySQL blogging system running on Unix-based operating systems. BirdBlog versions prior to 1.2.0 are vulnerable to SQL injection. If the magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, a remote attacker could send a specially-crafted URL request to the admincore.php script containing SQL commands in the userid and userpw parameters, which would allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information and add, modify, or delete information in the backend database.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of BirdBlog (1.2.0 or later), available from the SourceForge.net Web site. See References.
