Dnsmasq DHCP lease file off-by-one buffer overflow

Description:
Dnsmasq is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by an off-by-one buffer overflow when reading the DHCP lease file. By sending a long hostname and client-id, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the system to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- Gentoo, Linux

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Dnsmasq (2.21 or later), available from the Dnsmasq Index Web page. See References.
