Description:

Smarty is a template engine used for PHP running on Microsoft Windows and Unix-based operating systems. Smarty versions prior to 2.6.8 could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a vulnerability in the regex_replace modifier. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using an affected application with the template security features to bypass security and execute arbitrary PHP code on the system.

  • Smarty, Smarty prior to 2.6.8

Upgrade to the latest version of Smarty (2.6.8 or later), available from the Smarty Download Web page. See References.
